“A Benedictine Experience of Praying Through the Seasons.” A 3-day mid-week retreat
The monks of Glastonbury Abbey welcome you to come experience the rhythm of Monastic Prayer. Come sing the psalms, pray the Liturgy of the Hours, and attend daily Mass at the monastery. Benedictine spirituality extends from these times of prayer, which enrich and guide us as we move through the seasons of the year and our lives.
Glastonbury Abbey provides the ideal space for a retreat (setting oneself apart from the busy world to spend time with God). Situated on 60 acres of spacious green space with a labyrinth, wooded trails, gardens, outdoor Stations of the Cross and 2.2 miles from Nantasket beach there is much to explore in all seasons. Our bookstore carries a wide variety of options to enhance your stay.
Three nights include accommodations, chef prepared meals, and linens.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered upon request.
Spiritual Direction: Meet with a spiritual director during your stay. To be scheduled in advance. A donation is welcome.
Silence: Though this is Not a SILENT retreat, we encourage you to keep a moderate silence during your stay.
