Listening to Other Voices: Dr. Thomas H. Groome, Ed.D.
The Compassion of Jesus
With Irish charm, Thomas Groome offers us a deep and approachable look at Jesus. In a recent presentation at Boston College, Dr. Groome stated, “Catholics need remedial work on Jesus, that carpenter fellow.” He speaks of the historical Jesus and shares that scholarship tells us that the central theme of Jesus’ life was compassion. Tonight, he will speak on the compassion of “that fellow from Nazareth” and its centrality to his public life-it’s meaning for the disciples, and likewise for all people of goodwill-regardless of particular faith tradition.
This program will be presented in person and via Zoom. We encourage everyone to register online for each event even if you plan on attending in person. That way you will have the Zoom information if your plans to attend in person change.
