Lenten Day of Reflection
Facilitated by: The Oblate Community of Glastonbury Abbey
The Lenten season can be a time for self-offering – not self-denying – to deepen our personal relationship with God. The Oblates of Glastonbury Abbey (living “outside the walls”) invite you as we deepen our knowledge of The Rule of St. Benedict: Chapter 49 – The Observance of Lent, incorporating this time of re-evaluation and renewing of our daily lives. St. Benedict shares that Lent is a period for both the individual and the community to seek deeper communion with God. As an Oblate chooses to make his/her life an offering to God, the Lenten season is an opportunity to begin again this offering by trimming the dross from and bringing God’s presence back into alignment with one’s daily life. In addition, all are welcome to sing and pray any of the Liturgy of the Hours and attend Mass with the Oblates and Monks. Please join us to reflect on ways of re-aligning God’s presence with God’s grace during Lent and in all our days. All are welcome.
This program will be in-person only. Online registration is required. Lunch will be served. Please click here to register.
