The Lenten season can be a time for self-offering \u2013 not self-denying \u2013 to deepen our personal relationship with God.\u00a0 The Oblates of Glastonbury Abbey (living \u201coutside the walls\u201d) invite you as we deepen our knowledge of The Rule of St. Benedict: Chapter 49 \u2013 The Observance of Lent,<\/em> incorporating this time of re-evaluation and renewing of our daily lives. St. Benedict shares that Lent is a period for both the individual and the community to seek deeper communion with God.\u00a0 As an Oblate chooses to make his\/her life an offering to God, the Lenten season is an opportunity to begin again this offering by trimming the dross from and bringing God\u2019s presence back into alignment with one\u2019s daily life.\u00a0 In addition, all are welcome to sing and pray any of the Liturgy of the Hours and attend Mass with the Oblates and Monks.\u00a0 Please join us to reflect on ways of re-aligning God\u2019s presence with God\u2019s grace during Lent and in all our days.\u00a0 All are welcome.<\/p>\n
