Presented by Sr. Maureen Sullivan<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vatican II began 60 years ago and gave us a charter for the Church of the 20<sup>th<\/sup> century and beyond.\u00a0 Some wonder if the Council is a \u201cdistant memory\u201d or an \u201cunfolding reality.\u201d\u00a0 This presentation will examine this question and attempt to explain why it is indeed an \u201cunfolding reality,\u201d noting that we are still unpacking its treasures.\u00a0 We will also see how Pope Francis\u2019 call for a Synod is bringing about a rebirth of Vatican II, one of the aims of his pontificate &#8211; the implementation of the Council.\u00a0 Pope Francis is convinced that a synodal Church grounded in the teachings of Vatican II is what God expects of the Church of the third millennium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This program will be presented via Zoom only.
